With all of the scrap booking supplies I have, I pretty much try NOT to go out and purchase cards when possible. Often times though an event will come up and I am not ready with my card so what I have found is best is to create a stack of cards I can use throughout the year and have them ready when I need them. The best time to do this is when I am in the middle of layout or mini album making.

Here are 3 simple cards which I have made and at times left sentiments off so that I can personalize as I need:

Now when I have a birthday, thank you, thinking of you card that I need, I don't panic - I just reach in to my stash of cards and personalize them with some stickers, pens or rubons!
