Last year, I worked on Ali Edwards' December Daily album but found that this year I didn't have the time to commit to it. I decided instead to document the highlights of our December this year in the form of one of our Maya Road townhouse; I love all of our houses as they come with mini albums which are perfect for decorating and documenting. Since this album has 6 pages, I could cover 12 days of fun activities we have done this month.
My townhouse was inspired by Katie's house post a couple of weeks ago. I loved how cute her house looked but I wanted to change it up a bit to fit the townhouse.
I started off by painting my house a turquoise blue (inside and outside). To give it a fun festive look, I covered it with Collage Press papers.
Using some of the papers and punches I had, I made a "flower" (idea given to me by Lia) and layered it with some patterned papers and an embossed chipboard star (from our supernova collection) and a letter "t" (from our jonathan chipboard set ) covered with glaze.
The roof was covered with paper shingles and a metal edge to finish it off.
The roof also had a chipboard heart accent (from our mini love chipboard set).
Now the album inside is chock full of wallet sized photos and a bit of journaling to document our memories:
I have a couple of blank pages left to document the last couple of days before Christmas. Each year we can take it out and reflect on what we did in the year.
Hope you and yours have a Happy Holiday Season!
