How is everyone's new year going? My direction in this year will be geared very much towards my newly formed family, and embarking on a journey as a wife to a lovely husband. There is much to be done, much to be documented. What will be your direction this year?
Today, I share on Maya Road Design Team Blog on a layout of my family. I am loving this picture very much. In this layout, I've chosen lighter shades to complement the photo.
I do love to use twine to surround the photo. It helps to highlight the photo and gives a more sunshine feel to the entire layout.
I love using the manila tags. Use them easily by adding colors of your choice. In this case, I used a Gold mist to change the color of the manila tags. Now they come in corrugated form as well, and it gives different texture to the entire layout. Couple them with the MR doily die cut, they make the perfect focus point for titles or photos.
My favourite of all time must be this shimmering pointed petal flower from Maya Road. The petals are so pretty and accompanied by a beautiful crystal flower center. Add a couple of wood embellishments, metal clips and feather diecut, and they are ready to enhance emphasis on the photo. Isn't the feather die-cut drop dead gorgeous? I am so in love with them!
Love the doily diecut! Here I added the chipboard swirls and wood hey girl tokens to highlight the sub-title. The chipboard swirls are misted with gold mist.
