New Canvas Valise And A Card

Maya Road | Maya Road

Hello Roadies!  Melissa here again and I am excited to share with you another project I created for CHA-S last month featuring the new Canvas Valise.  Let me tell you, the possibilities for what this little pocket can carry are endless...as are the ways you can embellish it!  When I first saw it, I just knew it was a match made in heaven for my beloved cell phone.  Now, I don't know about you, but my cell is pretty much is attached to my hip.  Where would we be without email, Facebook, texts, and Google?!  Anyway, that's for another discussion entirely...look at my phone all nice and snug. :)

She is not in the best of shape, but I guarantee you, in her new home she will be much happier!  First I took the canvas and sprayed it entirely with Popsicle Blue Maya Mist...and let me tell you, the mist is so potent that a little went a very long way!  I then grabbed some of my favorite embellishments...Mini Pom Pom trim, Brown Resin BlossomsCream/Brown Organza FlowerAntique Button JewelVintage Pearl Pin, and Turquoise Leaf Trinket Pin and got to work!

It made the perfect little wristlet!  I know you will want one of your own to decorate and make a home for your precious little something.  I hope you will share your creations with us on the Maya Road Facebook page.  I love checking out what people have done...you all are so creative!!

And since school is literally right around the corner, I couldn't resist pulling out some of the new stamps just released to make a card ready to go for my little Super Stars!  They may not win any big prizes, but they sure are Super Stars forever in my book. :)

I used images from the set, Blue Ribbon Sentiments to create a fun background and made a fun discovery that a chipboard from the Motifs Chipboard set had a scalloped circle that, I swear, was made to fit the images in this set perfectly!  It gave the Super Star ribbon much more dimension, AND it works perfect to adhere a pin to the back so that it can be worn!

I stamped 2 of the 3 different ribbon strands to hang down, but you could definitely go crazy and do more...and hang more!  This one's for all you cardmakers out there...HOLLA!! :)

And that's all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you were just a teensy bit inspired!

Melissa
