2016 Embellished Calendar

Melody Rupple | Maya Road

Why not start off the year with a new calendar for your desk or to give as a gift at the holidays. You can remove the inserts from an inexpensive Ikea Frame  and hang your calendar pages from jump rings

The calendars are cut from a pocket calendar. I chose Maya Road embellishments that fit the theme for each month.

I used Maya Road dies to cut the words from card stock and the hearts from glittered card stock.

Since Easter is in March in 2016 I added a gold cross with a new Maya Road die.

The feather die and bird give this calendar page the feel of spring.

The new embroidery hoop and wood token are perfect for Mother's Day. You can use stencils to add pattern to the background.

The start of summer gives us a little more time to play and create. A watercolored background can be a nice effect.

A metal sailboat is perfect for July and corrugated paper works well for sand.

Maya Road trims add nice texture to any project.

A wooden ruler and glasses are the perfect embellishments for back to school!

Add thread to your buttons for a finished look.

Metal accents add a nice texture.

You can change the color of a metal clip with embossing powder.

Enjoy your calendar throughout the year!
