Altered Star Pin

Maya Road | Maya Road

The Crystal Trinket Star Pins are great to add to any project you create. And I was pretty excited when I figured out how to give them a little color and sparkle using any of the Maya Mist colors and the new Maya Glitter. This technique is super simple to do. All you need is a bottle of Maya Mist (I used the new Buttermilk Cream), Glossy Accents, Maya Glitter in Iridescent and a pin cushion, or in my case a placecard holder to hold your Crystal Trinket Star Pin.

  • Apply glossy accents on one side of your star pin. Then add one drop of Maya Mist Buttermilk Cream. I apply the drop of mist by carefully removing the top and letting the drop fall off the end of the tube. Replace the top.

  • Using the end of a sewing needle mix the mist and the glossy accents together. Apply a small amount of Maya Glitter in Iridescent on top. Gently tap off the excess glitter. Let dry.

Once the glossy accents is dry you can then attach it to any of your projects. This technique can be applied to so many other Maya Road products.

I hope you give this simple accent a try.

Hugs,
Lisa Pace
