Christmas Card 2014 Layout

Katrina Hunt | Maya Road
I love to scrap our Christmas card every year.  I usually don't get to scrapping it until Christmas of the following year, but that brings back memories of trying to get the perfect card, pick the perfect picture, etc. This card was a quick one to do and we had a lot of fun designing it on Shutterfly.  We always have leftover cards, so I decided that scrapping them is one way to use them up, well...at least one or two of them!

I kept the page fairly simple, since there was so much going on with the card. I used some steel dies from Maya Road to cut the snowflakes out and then I foiled them with DecoFoil and a laminator.  Then on the silver ones, I decided to add an enamel dot just to make them different from the others.

I did use two leftover cards, front and back.  I trimmed down the one that I used the back on, but rounded the corners to match the front card that I used.  I added a few stickers from the paper collection to accent the back and that fit with the theme.

Another idea is to also scrap your favorite card that you get in the mail.  I have a friend that does that each year.  We were lucky enough to make it one year!  Merry Christmas!
