Easel Drawer
For today, I decided to construct an easel card drawer. This idea had been roving in my mind for some time now, and I decided to put my hands on it!
Easel cards can be stored flat yet opened up to stand when the receiver receives it. So I thought, why not add a drawer to include some special gifts for the receiver as well?
So I started out with making the starburst background for my card. The triangular shapes were cut from different pattern papers and I used the Xyron 3" sticker maker to provide adhesive to my pieces. It's so convinient!
See? All the bits and pieces are now ready for use. I even had excess for my next project!
Next i prepared some die-cuts to use for my easel card. These Maya Road dies are my top favorites! Here you will see the diagonal ATC die-cut, Amazing Grace Script diecut, Geometric Leave die-cut and my latest favorite floral die! You need this die for sure!
Here's a short video on how I used the Xyron with Maya Road dies. Never lose that dot above your "i" anymore!
I started out adhering the triangle pieces in a starburst fashion and stitched them with a sewing machine. For the die-cuts, I simply ran them through the Xyron sticker makers! Running them through was fun and easy!
Everything is now ready for me to start decorating!
Here is a another closer look into the drawer box. Yes I did run this Maya Road token through the 3" Xyron sticker maker too!
Boy this was fun! Hope you have enjoyed this walk through the making of this easel card drawer!
