Guest Designer - Jenny Chesnick On Banners

Jen Chesnick

Hi Roadies!

Today we are so happy to share the work of Guest Designer, Jenny Chesnick on the Maya Road DT Blog! One of Jenny's banners made out of Maya Road chipboard pages first caught our eye and it turns out that she's a total whiz at creating banners! We asked Jenny to share a few of her favorite banners, and here are three for your viewing pleasure.

We love how the different Maya Road shapes look as banners - Jenny used the Modern Label Coaster,  Mixed Scallop Triangle Banner Album and Oval Scallop Journal Coaster on her three banners above - that's just how versatile our chipboard pages are!

We also asked Jenny for some tips when creating banners, and this was what she shared.

Be consistent and Repeat, Repeat, Repeat!  Layout your pieces and mock up 1 banner then repeat the same layers for each.  I will change up the pattern paper and stickers, but the base style is consistent through out.  I also try my best to have the banner as an odd number.  As in all rules of design this is more pleasing to your eye and doesn't seem "off" when you hang it.

Thanks so much for sharing your amazing creativity with us, Jenny!
