It's Julia here and I'm excited to be back home from CHA in Anaheim. CHA is the Craft and Hobby Association Show that is held each year to showcase the new and latest crafting product. It's exciting to be there and it's always a joy to see your work displayed there in person.
Today I thought I'd share one of my favorite projects from the show. It's all about fabulous Maya Road products and the brand new Maya Road die line!
Dies are a brand new product line for Maya Road and I'm so excited about them. You'll see a lot of the new ATC line of dies that make up the back panels of each of the embellished and clipped accents. There's also rolled roses and bows and sentiments and many, many other great designs. The new dies will be available in stores near the end of February so keep your eyes open for them!
Each ATC die cut has been embellished with all kinds of pretty Maya Road products. There's sequins and chipboard and trims and resins. I always feel the more the merrier when embellishing so layer it on using a good quality adhesive. One of my favorite releases from the show was the little wood embroidery hoop embellishments. They make absolutely darling accents!
To create the frame, I removed the glass from a frame I had on hand and then painted it to a lovely eggshell color. I then took some pretty Maya Road twine and held it across the back of the frame and stapled it with a heavy duty stapler...the kind that you can find in hardware stores. Sweet little silver Maya Road clothespins hold each ATC on.
To finish it all off, here's another peek at some of the fabulous new Maya Road embellishments coming your way for 2016! The gorgeous faux suede tassels are already a huge hit and they come in lots of fabulous shades! And did you notice that sweet golden glitter mason jar?! Too cute for words!
Happy creating!
