Hey Girl Scrapbook Page

Julia Stainton | Maya Road

I love creating scrapbook pages, especially of the special people in my life. My daughter no longer lives near-by and so I treasure each moment we spend together. This layout features a grid design on burlap and lots of beautiful Maya Road embellishments.

To create this layout I matted squares of patterned paper with white cardstock and stitched them to the burlap base. As fabric is difficult to adhere to this adds a nice design detail and also add stability to the project.

Each square is then embellished with photos or beautiful Maya Road embellishments and a few vintage items too.

To create the title I used Maya Road chipboard letters and then painted them a vibrant fun pink. To add a vintage look, the letters are lightly sanded with sandpaper.
