This is a very simple project to make and would be a perfect gift. It would also make a fun little summer project!
Supplies:
Felt
Embroidery Floss
Maya Road Felt Badges
Maya Road Buttons
Snaps
Tombo Liquid Glue
Cut two pieces of felt, one that measures 4 X 10 1/2 inches and one of a different colour that measures 3 X 4 inches.
We'll first decorate our front small felt piece. I added a Maya Road Felt Badge Owl from the Birds of a Feather collection as well as some embroidery work. To attach the owl I used Tombo Mono Multi Liquid Glue. Set aside to dry.
Measure 5 3/4 of an inch from the top of the larger piece of felt and fold.
Stitch your front piece onto the smaller half of the larger piece of felt. Make sure that you only sew through one side of the felt or we won't be able to have a pocket.
Blanket stitch around your cozy. Now this was my very first time blanket stitching and I was surprised how easy it was! I just watched an awesome youtube tutorial which can be found here!
Sew on three snaps to keep the cozy closed.
Sew on three buttons to hide your stitching from the snaps.
And you are done!
Have a great day,
