It feels like ages ago since I started out on this amigurumi journey. When I sit back and think of it, it really was! Years ago I picked up a crochet hook and made my first doll and here I am today.
On the left, you'll see my first ever attempt at a Marceline amigurumi from Adventure Time. I set out to make a body pattern that would work for Adventure Time characters. I had no idea what I was doing, to be honest, I have never made anything this big. Her limbs are a little uneven and her clothes are made of felt and pretty awkward if I'm telling the truth.
To the right, you'll see a remake of the same Marceline almost two years later. I wrote the pattern as I went, so her limbs might be just a little uneven, but I know a little more about what I'm doing now! There's actually a body shape, and the hair is a completely different style.
What's the point of this post, you ask? To show that no matter what your craft, if you keep at it you will always improve! You may not see it right away, but if you put something side by side- old by new, you'll for sure see it. So don't give up on anything! If you love what you create your improvement will show.
Good luck to all of you! Don't stop creating!
