Maya Mist /Rubon Resist Tutorial

Caroline Lau

Did you know that stores are starting to sell some of our new Maya Mist colors? We had 7 coming out this week. Here is one of my favorite ones - hydrangea blue:

Here is something fun you can do with this mist and our rubons to make some cool tags:

Start by putting some of our white rubons on a manila tag. I used our damask ones. Oh yeah did I tell you that our rubons go on smooth like butter? You do not have to use an application tool!

Next set up your misting in a box; I use any boxes I have from shipments arriving and I cut the top and 1 side off. This is our new Mulberry Mist!

Next spray the mist (about 6 - 8" from the tag). It will look like this:

Next take a paper towel and wipe the mist off of the rubon - the rubon will resist the mist!

Next I added some highlighting mist (this is our new Sunflower Yellow color) - wipe excess off of the rubon part.

You are done! The rubon looks amazing on the tag with this resist technique.

Enjoy!

Caroline
