Today with a faux sewing layout - a quick and easy layout for those on the move! I used the jute and twine cording across the layout to show a grid. Just pierce holes at the far ends to hid the ends of the cords. Yes, it's that easy!

Let's take a closer look into the layout:

This layout was constructed based on the theme of water colors. Hence, I used water colors to paint the chipboard embellishments where i dictated 3 colors for 3 of us. I love how easy the chipboards allow us to manipulate the choice of colors chosen for the theme of the layout. My current favorites are the diecuts! They are so versatile and boy I love the font of these amazing die-cuts! Here, I've used friend, layered over the portraits chipboards and a camera to top it up.

Adding water color to wood embellishments are also possible! Here, I added 3 different colors to the wooden embellishment and scallop chipboard, then distressing it with red at the sides. The bingo motifs, felt rose and decorative scrolls have also it's own character with the water color!

On the other end of the layout, I used the kraft sayings and manila tags as background pieces. Try adding your own colors to the manila tags, they help to enhance the layouts in the colors of specific choices! Also, you can add a thin line of border using a pen to outline, it helps to generate more interest! Using a left over heart from previous project (it came from the chipboard Geo tags), i used it to layer above the cherry red twine and topped it up with the felt roses. Add a little of the water color to the felt roses - it can alter the look of your flower greatly! Of course, I chose the die-cut "Art" as a subtitle for the theme of this layout.
