It's Nicole Nowosad with you today. I have a fun and easy birthday themed project for you today – who doesn’t love a good banner at a party! I've also added a little bonus for you too ;)
I created this banner in a few simple steps and it looks so pretty once put together!
Supplies: Patterned Paper – Basic Grey; Cardstock – American Crafts
I started out by die-cutting several banner pieces out of some pretty patterned paper. I layered one of the images with some white cardstock diecut to a scallop edge shape.
Once I had the number of shapes diecut, I arranged them in an order on a large table. I had quite a few pieces and so I chose a pattern and varied my colour scheme across the banner.
I diecut a few hearts and letters to spell “happy” and added to parts of my banner. It’s easy to add these while you have the banner arranged on your work surface, so you can see what the final result will be.
I wanted to add some rosettes to some of the banner pieces. Here is how I made mine:
Once the banner is all ready to go, simply add some twine using hot glue or another STRONG adhesive to the backside of the banner pieces, making sure to keep your banner in order so that any words you may have spelled are correct when you are done!
I hope you have enjoyed this project! You can re-create this with any patterned paper and get a totally new look for any party you are hosting! Now, wouldn’t it be great to have a file that you could cut those pieces SO easily?
